Parallel wiring: two 8 Ω speakers on one channel = 4 Ω; four 8 Ω speakers = 2 Ω; two 4 Ω speakers = 2 Ω. This calculator does not recommend loads below 2 Ω. JBL mode uses the continuous/long-term rating stored for the selected model; powered, distributed-line, and system-specific products are blocked from generic low-Z sizing. Always verify the loudspeaker manufacturer’s recommended amplifier range and limiter settings. For a single 16 Ω load, output may be shown as a conservative estimate derived from the published 8 Ω output; verify final system design with Crown documentation. ComTech D recommendations also enforce Crown's power-sharing bank limits; ComTech DriveCore recommendations use the published 4 Ω and 8 Ω ratings.
